To get the power cable through one of the legs i split the leg with a chisel.

Picked the leg that had the straightest wood lines so that the split would go through the entire lenght.

Then milled a slot inside for the cable,

drilled two holes, glued the circular power connection one of them and

then i just glued the two pieces of wood together again. Just as new.
