Introduction

This is a retractable shelf for a tablet. It has a automatic locking mechanism so that the shelf can't move while in the "down" position. When it's in the "upper" position it's just held by magnets.

 

I had the problem with a good placement for my tablet while cooking so that i could read recipes or watch youtube etc at the same time without having to worry about getting the tablet dirty or take up working space.

Figured that a hidden retractable shelf would solve the problem.

Most parts are made with my 3d printer and the aluminium part was cut with my CNC machine.
